...Impulse zu geben, fernab von der prolligen tough guy-Attitüde, die charkteristisch für die Szene war. 1997 lösten sich Texas is the reason aufgrund von Meinungsverschiedenheiten kurz vor einem Deal mit einem Majorlabel (und somit wohl höherer Bekanntheit) auf. Die nölige nasale Stimme von Garrett Klahn, gibt den Songs eine eigene Note, dürfte aber keinesfalls jedem gefallen. Ich persönlich finde sie bisweilen etwas aufdringlich. Na ja, Geschmäcker sind halt verschieden. Die Instrumentalarbeit basiert auf harmonisch anspruchsvollen Arrangments, die aber sehr melodiös und rund klingen. Wobei sich durch die häufige Wiederholung der verschiedenen Leitmotive ein einlullendes und warmes Gefühl beim Hörer einstellt.
